Just to add for those not familiar with the “Hird” reference – this was a Glendining & Co + Spink & Son Ltd Auction, on 6th March 1974, catalogued by Patrick Finn. Alderman Horace Hird (1899-1973) is not actually named in the catalogue, and as paper copies are tricky to find today your list is all the more useful. I think the Newman Numismatic Portal has permission to copy all the Glen’s back catalogues and they should be online in the near future.
